Minutes matter when responding to a fire in our back yard. Tim Devine is a Pilot, a Business Owner, and a Bioenvironmental Engineer. That's how I know environmental protection is critical for our community I am a homeowner in Tahoe for the past 12 years and I am an avid skier and bicyclist... I love the outdoors. I was a leader in the Air Force, a business leader and owner, and now it's time to give back and serve my community on the Tahoe Truckee Airport District Board. I am proud to have built a $30 million plus business that employees 38 amazing people from all walks of life. I will work with CalFire, U.S. Forest Service, Placer and Nevada counties to implement programs to make Truckee better able to host the aircraft that will help contain fires before they get too big. With my leadership, we will use technology to educate pilots and fly safer and quieter. Safety - Aircraft accidents have occurred during bad weather. We need to close the airport during unsafe weather conditions
